PAYMENT 

A)Online payment through credit card/ debit card through the payment gateway available on the Entrance test portal

B) Payment of Entrance Test Fee in Cash through “Challan” in any branch of HDFC Bank- After filling up the

application form and its submission, the Challan can be printed from the portal. The printout of challan (in two

folds) will contain all necessary details of the candidate and the bank account details of the Banaras Hindu

University in which the entrance test fee will be deposited. The candidate will be required to visit any branch of the

HDFC Bank of his/her choice where he/she will be required to deposit the requisite Fee amount to the Bank and

the bank will retain one fold of the Challan and its second fold containing the necessary Entrance Test Fee

payment details will be given to the candidate. The candidate is required to retain it for his record. After successful

payment of Entrance Test Fee, a candidate shall be able to take a printout of the ONLINE filled up application

form.

Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess Matriculation plus course completed Act Apprenticeship/ ITI approved by NCVT/ SCVT in the trades of Fitter/ Electrician/ Instrument Mechanic/ Millwright Maintenance Mechanic/ Mechanic Radio & TV/ Electronics Mechanic/ Mechanic Motor Vehicle etc, 10+2 with Maths/ Physics, Diploma in Engineering for ALP Post and Matriculation plus course completed Act Apprenticeship/ ITI approved by NCVT/ SCVT in the trades of Electrician/ Electrical Fitter/ Wireman/ Electronics/ Information Technology/ TV & Radio/ Instrumentation/Computer/ Computer Networking etc, 10+2 with Maths/ Physics, Diploma in Engineering in Electrical/ Electronics/ Microprocessor/ etc for Technician posts.

Selection Process: Candidates would be selected based on their performance in written examination.

Examination Fee: Candidates have to pay the examination fee of Rs.40/- for ALP all other Technician categories in form of a crossed Demand Draft or in the form of crossed Indian Postal order to be drawn in favour of Assistant Secretary or Secretary or Member Secretary or Chairman of Railway Recruitment Board concerned as mentioned in notification. No examination fee for SC/ST/ Exservicemen, persons with disabilities/ Women/ minority/ economically backward candidates.
